As an athlete, Matt raced at the Ironman World Championships and 70.3 World Championships in Las Vegas in 2012 and raced the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona in 2013, where (despite 3 flat tires), he finished in the top-20 Amateurs and had the fastest amateur run time overall!  Matt’s list of accomplishments for the 2013 season are impressive.  He was the 1st overall amateur at Ironman Racine 70.3 finishing in 4:01.  At Ironman Texas 2013, he was the 14th overall finisher (3rd amateur) and one of only a handful of competitors, including the pros, to run a sub 3:00 marathon.  Matt debuted as a professional at IRONMAN Arizona 2013, finishing 18th out of 55 pros with a blazing time of 8:30:29.
